Claude Code has a new option:

“Yes, clear context and auto-accept edits.”

Hope this means less token usage.

Okay, so I got access to Claude Cowork now.

No idea what to do with it. 😀

The way I understand it is that it’s a desktop version of Claude Code.

Every ad I see on YouTube looks like it is AI generated.

It didn’t take that long for the advertising industry to pick up AI.

The future will be personalized ads that get generated as they are viewed. Everyone sees a different ad.

The Non-Existent WP-CLI Command

Daily reminder: AI confidently hallucinates false info.

Asked Claude about a WP-CLI one-time login command (like drush uli).

It invented “wp user generate-login-link”, which doesn’t exist.

I tried it multiple times before realising.

Using Claude Code to spin up DDEV Sites

Now I’m getting a little lazy.

I just used Claude Code to build a DDEV site following commands from a README.

And it did a pretty good job.

This will be the local site for Friday’s live stream.

It’ll be about creating tables, absolutely riveting stuff, I know.

Why Film Photography Could Make a Comeback in the Age of AI

With AI getting good at creating photorealistic images, it’s getting hard to know what’s real anymore.

How do you verify a photo is legit when a fake can look perfect?

Could film photography make a comeback? Not just for the vintage vibe, but for verification.

With film you have the physical negative.

It’s a real-world object you can hold, making it much harder to fake than a digital file.

To prove a photo is authentic, you might just need to show the negative it came from.

Can old technology solve a very modern problem?

Do you think we’ll see people returning to film just to prove their photos are real?

A Cautionary Tale About AI Code Editors (Cursor)

Had a surprising moment with Cursor.

I asked a simple question about a command, and its AI agent, with “auto run” enabled, decided to install Docker via Homebrew without any confirmation!

While powerful, this highlights a potential pitfall of AI tools that can execute commands. It made changes to my local setup that I didn’t want.

Ivan’s top tip: Be mindful of settings like “auto run” and “auto fix errors” in Cursor.

Avoid Having Unstructured Conversations with AI

I never thought I’d be writing so much while using AI!

I’ve written a substantial prompt to convert a list of time codes from my live streams into a CSV format, which can then be imported into a Premiere Pro sequence as markers.

Recently, I’ve been avoiding freestyle conversations with AI because I feel like they become repetitive.
ㅤ
Instead, I prefer to start every conversation with a pre-written prompt that I’ve written in Google Docs, which I can reuse.
